  Original Songs

Here are some songs that Jim wrote and recorded and that were performed on various occasions.

Want You To Come Over - from One Tree Hill TV show (MarTunE Music)
Maybe - from The Smallville TV show
Live It Up - from Jim's MySpace.

"McGorman's vocal is a very distinctive one indeed. Imagine John Mayer with more edge and twice the range where the high register has a distant resemblance but the definitive sensibility of Mick Hucknall (of Simply Red) especially during the ballads. But he can carry a beautiful low register as well ... He sings effortlessly."

avrilthumb.jpg    Backing Avril Lavigne

In early 2007, Jim joined Avril Lavigne's band. He became a musical director for The Best Damn Tour in 2008. He is her principal backup singer and you can hear him A LOT. Also, Jim's rhythm/acoustic guitar is an integral part of the sound of this incredibly thight band.

We can't post much due to the fact that Avril, as one of the biggest musical acts of today, has millions of fans and it would create a lot of unnecessary traffic. But this performance pretty sums up the role of Jim. A BIG one too. Check out some of our numerous video clips to see the musical and performing chemistry between the two of them.
