With Goo Goo Dolls and Weezer - 2009
"(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I
Want You To", w/ Weezer and Sara Bareilles, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Nov 23
'09
(taped Oct 23):
Jim in full on Weezer getup on national TV, in full view most of the
time. Pity he's not singing, but he seems to be having a lot of
fun,
grooving into his guitar, clapping and jiving into the whole Weezer
vibe. Oh, here is the
video clip on YouTube in HD. Well, sorta. We think our clip is crisper.
"Viva La Vida" (Coldplay cover) w/ Weezer,
PC Richard and Son Theatre, NYC - Oct 28, '09: Full song. Check out our favorite utility guy (Jim's words!)
play lite touch drums, sing with Rivers Cuomo and enjoy himself.
and "Viva La Vida" (Coldplay
cover) w/ Weezer, PC Richard and Son Theatre, NYC - Oct 28 '09: Two partial clips -
the first one is really short. But pretty cool. Nice
tracksuit Jim!
"Viva La Vida" (Coldplay cover) w/ Weezer,
PC Richard and Son Theatre, NYC - Oct 28 '09: Another angle, a bit more Jim-friendly although he
occasionally slips out of frame. Good sound, so you can hear him sing
at the end (oooh, oooh, ooooh...)
"(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I
Want You To", w/ Weezer and Sara Bareilles, Palladium, LA - Oct 24 '09:
Jim hopped on stage with Sarah Brailles (of the "Love Song" fame)
to help out Weezer perform the first single from Weezer's upcoming
seventh studio album Raditude.
Jim seems to have had a lot of fun.
Goo Goo Dolls soundcheck, Joliet, IL
- Jul 09 '09: The band is doing "Stay With You". Short and
sweet. Jim not doing much, however he's looking way cool in
sunglasses (esp around 0:05)
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Joliet, IL - Jul 09 '09:
"Slide" - our favourite Goo song. Shot from 20kms away, however
the
sound is great and Jim is rocking on his keyboard. Seriously, you can
hear it very well.
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Joliet, IL - Jul 09 '09:
An inspired, hair-raising performance of Iris, the song that defines
the Goos. (By the way, Rzeznik said he broke several years of writer's
block and several years of sobriety simultaneously the night he wrote
this track. And we say you just can't live up to a song like that,
EVER.) At
anyrate, Jim is a very big part of the performance, ripping the
synthesizer like the best sympho-rock keyboard gods of the 70's.
Without a cape mind you.
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Joliet, IL - Jul 09 '09:
John's (Rzeznik) banter while Jimmy fidgets (as per usual) and
laughs;
John is really funny, we have to give it to him. And then John
introduces the band: Jimmy and Brad. Check why Brad Fernquist has no
ass. Credit: xDNxPR0DUCti0NSx on YouTube.
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Joliet, IL - Jul 09 '09: Parts of four songs:
"Black
Balloon", "Give A Little Bit", "Here is Now" and "Naked". Jim is way in
the background, but it's cool to see him between Rzeznik and Takac,
grooving into his keyboard, singing backing vocals and having fun
(check at 4:10). The band sounds awesome.
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Elizabeth, IN - Jul 10 '09: Clisp and clear video
of
John Rzeznik introducing Jimmy. Props to John for saying Jim's
full name.
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Elizabeth, IN - Jul 10 '09: A piece of "Give A
Little Bit" (cover) with "blink and you'll miss-'im" Jim, but
that's a moment with Rzeznik plus he has an organ solo. Very well worth
it
Goo Goo Dolls
concert, Elizabeth, IN - Jul 10 '09: Entire Name (from A Boy Named Goo,
1995). That was band's biggest hit before Iris (from Dizzy Up The Girl,
1998). Jim is in frame with Rzeznik and Takac the entire time - so
pretty cool. Oh, check him out playing air
guitar for a bit after 0:19. Good sound and
excellent performance as well. Enjoy!
W/
Goo Goo Dolls, Hard
Rock at Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla - Apr 20 '09: "American
Girl" - entire song. This time
Jimmy is on keys. You can see him pretty well during Brad's solo
(3:18)
W/
Goo Goo Dolls, Hard
Rock at Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla - Apr 20 '09: WOW! Eh?
Entire "Stay With You". There is a
Jim closeup right at the beginning and then you can see Jim in the back
throughout the
video,singing backing
vocals to Johnny Rzeznik and
playing guitar. The guy at the beginning is Jim's mate Brad
Fernquist. The band is incredibly tight. Enjoy!
